Please don't be ridiculous. Those are al quotes from legitimate news sources, not some private communication spirited away by a concerned staffer.

It would be a totally different story if the UN spokesperson *issued a statement* that the UN was pleased with the results.

Let the Dems have their 2 year majority rule, while conservatives regroup, refocus, and clean house. The Dems lose in '08 anyway.
