One is the loneliest number ... (Updated and bumped)

But, but, but ... I was in Vietnam! ... Wanna see my hat?

The Lonely Senator
Bryan Preston

Heh.

Sen. Kerry found himself all alone while he was over here. He cancelled his press conference because no one came, he worked out alone in the gym w/o any soldiers even going up to say hi or ask for an autograph (I was one of those who was in the gym at the same time), and he found himself eating breakfast with only a couple of folks who are obviously not troops. ...

Scott Johnson has more, including a bigger picture, here.

Michelle's correction is here.

I guess since I'm posting corrections I should bump the post? Hmmm. What would AP do?

Funy,
Seems that all the soldiers except one skipped breakfast that morning. Maybe they had to get out early to keep the Shiites and the Sunnis from killing each other. While the wingnuts have been gloating over this nonevent, another 6 proud Americans have been killed in Bush's Disaster in the Desert. Get your priorities straight. Preventing the needless deaths of Americans should be job one and for this administration and most wingnuts, it is not.

Well gee whiz, sifaka! What do you expect from an old baby killer like me? Johnny and I go way back. He was a dumb ass 35 years ago and he still is. Been taking lessons, have you?

Well Bill, Don't surprise me now by being rational. Good, you didn't.

Got any good excuses for your Boy George? How come his policies are killing so many Americans, or doesn't that matter to you?

[let me guess. We will now read: 1) We are fighting them in Iraq so that we don't have to fight them in the US; 2) There have been no attacks on US soil since 9/11 (just like there were no attacks on US soil after World Trade Center I until 9/11/2001). ]

Why it is that wingnuts support and defend a duty dodger like Bush who sends soldiers off to die in Iraq without a clue or a plan is one of the great curiousities of the lacunae of the right wing mind. You get exercised over John Kerry and give your Boy George a pass, even though he is directly responsible for almost 300 dead Americans and countless thousands more who have been gravely wounded.

The hypocrisy of the right knows no bounds.

3000, not 300. Isn't it time for you to do your homework or something?
