Sen. Johnson Undergoes Surgery to Relieve Bleeding in Brain

WASHINGTON —  South Dakota Democratic Sen. Tim Johnson was listed in critical condition after undergoing successful brain surgery early Thursday ...

Some of the news networks, and some blogs, have been devoting significant bandwidth to analyzing the possible political implications of this situation; this blog will defer any such discussions until the Senator is out of danger. Sen. Johnson is a Viet Nam Veteran who voted for military action in Iraq knowing that might mean his own son would be placed in harm's way.  Please join me in praying for his safe recovery.

You've got to see it to believe it.

I guess Joy Behar thinks it's funny to suggest that Sen. Tim Johnson's stroke was "man-made." Because she can't be serious, can she?

Transcript:

Behar - "Is there such a thing as a man-made stroke? In other words, did someone do this to him?" ...

Tim Johnson may be a war vet, but as far as I'm concerned, he's a traitor to the Constitution and this country as much as Jane Fonda or Benedict Arnold. He gets the best of marks on gun control from the Brady Bunch and other anti-Constitution groups.

As a South Dakotan, let me just say that I hope he is too ill to resume his 'duties'.

He is sick, and I wish him a full recovery, and strength for his family. The time to worry about political ramifications is after he is either out of the woods or when it becomes clear that he won't ever be. The news coverage of this poor guy's illness reminds me of a bunch of premature vultures.
