Blogging the State of the Union speech

I guess I'll go a ahead and get a post started, then I may or may not update it during the speech. With my hearing problems I'm better at reading than listening and I haven't located any advance copies of the speech online.

7:58 -- The Squeaker of the House is already squeaking. She's enough to turn an old dog's stomach.

For now I think I'm going to listen to the speech and keep an eye on Ed's post. I'll chime in here if I think he's missed anything important.

8:29 -- He just launched into his amnesty spiel. At least it only lasted a couple of minutes.

8:34 -- Did he just say "Global Climate Change?" Maybe my ears were playing tricks on me.

8:36 -- "To win the War on Terror we must take the fight to the enemy" It'll be interesting to see if he's ready to follow up on that.  ... At least he has 'nads enought to name names, like "Iran" and "Hezbollah."

8:50 -- "Whatever you voted for, you didn't vote for failure."
