God damn it to hell! Those of you who've ever been to The Circle F may remember that little woods that My sister went out before I was up and moving this morning to ask the guy doing the damage what was going on . She says he was polite to the point of being almost apologetic and explained that the guy who owns the property west of us decided to have "our" woods and another one farther west knocked down to increase the size of the corn/wheat field that was on the other side of the woods. I guess he's also going to sell some of the larger trees to a sawmill. It's his property and I guess it's his right to do it but it still comes as a shock. The guy who owned that woods when we moved here 51 years ago would never have considered doing something like that -- The Lord knows he didn't need the money -- but apparently one of his descendents, or whoever they sold it to, can't see anything but dollar signs. If he'd given us some warning I might have been able to buy part of the woods to extend our property line west a few feet but he didn't even have the courtesy to come by and tell us what was coming. In other news, they seem to finally be done rearranging dirt in the field behind us, at least for now. I'm guessing the lake's in it's final form other than not being full yet. We even have new neighbors, although I feel pretty sure they'll winter farther south:
