Force Multipliers
The latest from the always great Russ Vaughn:
See my entire Russ Vaughn collection here. Update: Welcome Michelle Malkin readers! Please do click the above link to see some of Russ's older work. He's been one of my favorite writers for quite a while now. After you check out my collection, I hope you'll click here and check out the rest of my site. *** Looks like I'm also getting some traffic from a couple of the reality-challenged sites. Feel free to stay and look around; maybe you'll learn something. |

Comments "the liberal elite who sought defeat may face some Rightious wrath." You're damned right they should. The liberal elite are nothing but traitors, and should be dealt with as such. Posted by: jesusland joe | Jan 2, 2006 9:33:42 PM An unbelievably trite and childish piece of "poetry..." I nearly lost consciousness about 40% of the way through but recovered after administering a painful shock to myself with a car battery and some jumper cables. Is this the quality of entertainment we can expect you to produce for the masses when conservatives are finished eliminating liberals from the media industry? The Passion of Christ, Bass-fishing shows and shitty juvenile wingnut poetry. I can hardly wait!Posted by: The Liberal Avenger | Jan 2, 2006 11:48:01 PM Occasionally in the past I’ve let some troll get my blood pressure up and responded to comments in a less-than-polite manner. Most times I just remember Mark Twain's advice:
LA, would you like some acorns with that swill? Posted by: Bill Faith | Jan 2, 2006 11:58:57 PM I especially liked the part where God and the Iraq veterans come to righteously destroy the media for exercising free speech. It's the sort of surprise-ending that I might have come up with myself back in 10th grade when I used to get high by huffing kerosene fumes.Posted by: The Liberal Avenger | Jan 3, 2006 12:10:23 AM So, the brain damage has an identifiable cause, then. I'd assumed it was congenital. Maybe there's still hope it'll wear off by the time you grow up.Posted by: Bill Faith | Jan 3, 2006 12:16:24 AM 01/03/06 I have four sincere wishes for 2006: 1. Bush has his stupid, supercilious smirk wiped off his face via impeachment by the House and conviction by the Senate, for violating the Constitution. 2. Cheney, Rummy and Rice become his cellmates. 3. Congress brings the troops home by cutting off funding for the illegal Iraq war. 4. Congress grows the gonads to do all of the above. LimoLiberalPosted by: LimoLiberal | Jan 3, 2006 9:43:34 AM Please note that LimoLiberal is a decorated USAF veteran who has many more military commendations than Small Time Veteran. He is also a proud, participating member of the much maligned but nonetheless and obviously feared Mainstream Media. Would Small Time Veteran and Russ Vaughn only defend the First and Fourth Amendments as vehemently as they defend the Second. LimoLiberalPosted by: LimoLiberal | Jan 3, 2006 9:52:04 AM That's a lovely war poem. Not quite as good as this one, but then, Vietnam wasn't as good of a war as WWI. And like the Liberal Avenger, I too am a big fan of the surprise ending where God and the soldiers (and I suppose the Real Americans who *aren't* overseas fighting) slaughter the liberals who exercise their fundamental right to free speech in opposing the war.Posted by: Joe | Jan 3, 2006 10:35:56 AM LimoLiberal, I've never made any claim to being any sort of highly decorated hero. I enlisted, volunteered for a tour in 'Nam, did what was asked for me and came home, period. On the other hand, while Russ, who wrote Force Multipliers. has never boasted about his past, I know that he spent enough time on the very tip of the spear to be well entitled to his views on our current situation. BTW, Mr. "decorated Air Force veteran," have you taken time to read The Quiet Americans? Posted by: Bill Faith | Jan 3, 2006 5:23:45 PM Since when is Osama in Iraq?Posted by: aldahlia | Jan 3, 2006 7:08:27 PM Elitist Media Liars? What lie? A soldier dies and instead of mourning his death you write this punk drivel. Malkin linked this? Unbelievable. Blaming the media must sell books ...Posted by: Don Surber | Jan 4, 2006 8:56:04 AM Dear Bill Faith (of intersting name): Having read "The Quiet Americans," I'd conclude they're not so quiet, after all. I, too, am the scion of a military family: My dad flew B-24s, his brother was an aircraft mechanic in the AAF and their mother was in the WAC, all in WWII. Both my brothers were in the Army during Nam; my older brother was an officer in the Pentagon and my younger brother was a ground pounder in Nam. I could drop a man with a .38 at 100 paces and still can, regardless of my advanced age and limited eyesight. We don't hide our medals in a box in a shed; we served proudly and are proud of it. My family fought for American liberty, freedom and the Constitution. What are you guys fighting for? A fascist puppet who calls the Constitution "just a goddamned piece of paper"? Why? Good luck with that. See you in court. LimoLiberalPosted by: LimoLiberal | Jan 4, 2006 9:55:47 AM Post a comment |
