Did I ever tell you about the time my Daddy shot his big brother? (Updated and bumped)
From Michelle:
Anyway, I remember hearing about it way back, before I was old enough to tag along. Not an unusual tale, really. Daddy and Uncle Ray started opposite directions around a hay field and lost track of each other. Daddy's bird dog pointed a lone quail, Daddy kicked it up, swung his gun to track it, and fired when it was far enough away that the meat would be worth bringing home. Uncle Ray got sprinkled by falling birdshot in the process. Uncle Ray let loose a string of profanities, no doubt, and the matter was forgotten about. Just like the Cheney matter should be forgotten, only I'm sure the lefties will do their best to see that it isn't. As one of Michelle's readers already observed, I'd rather hunt with Dick Cheney than ride with Ted Kennedy. *** Scott Ott has more:

Shame on you, Rurik. Shame on you. Don't miss these great related posts:
As far as I know Al Gore hasn't commented yet -- You might want to check Daily Kos if you can handle the stench.

Comments Now I admire Dick Cheney more than ever, though I also envy him a little more as well. That was a LAWYER he shot. Dick Cheney - making America a better place, one lawyer at a time. Posted by: Rurik | Feb 13, 2006 4:01:49 PM Post a comment |
