New Cartoon featuring Muhammad -- created in solidarity with the Jutland Post
Just for the record, two weeks ago I wouldn't have even given serious thought to posting a cartoon like the one below, which I received via email earlier today. I guess there's something about being told what I can't do that makes me more likely to do it than I would be otherwise -- There seems to be a lot of that going around recently. After a few email exchanges with the artist, I understand that until recently he wouldn't have drawn such a thing either. Billy tells me that in the past he's taught college-level courses in Comparative Religion, Social Science, U.S. History, Russian History, and East Asian History, including some time at sea teaching college-credit courses to our Sailors and Marines. He also, obviously, learned to draw somewhere along the way. I may add a little more information about his past to this post later, but I'm going to give him time to decide how much more he wants the public to know. Thank you, Billy.
