All Gave Some, Some Gave All

The pictures are from the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. I stopped by to say a short prayer and shed a few tears on my way home from my last VA appointment. I heard Taps and rifle salutes from three different directions in the short time I was there; not all for KIAs of course, but all for someone who'd served our nation at one time or another. And yes, grown men do cry.

There are so many great Memorial Day posts on so many great blogs, with more to come I'm sure, that there's no way I can even get a good start on linking to all of them, but I'll try to get links up to some of the better ones I see as the day goes on. I'll also keep on blogging through the day about issues of importance to the nation our veterans fought and died for. Our troops in the sandbox don't have the day off; why should I?
