Food fight!
My wish came true. President Bush has decided to nominate General Michael Hayden to head the CIA. The confirmation hearings are going to be a real hoot, giving lots of people who don't give a damn about national security an on-camera chance to bitch and moan about the al-Qaeda intercept program he helped create as head of NSA. There are also those who are concerned about having a military officer in charge of a so-called "civilian" agency, an agency which happens to be broken and need a firm guiding hand to get back on track. The way I see it is that we're at war and it's time to start acting like it. Sending a military man to the CIA to kick asses and take names is a step in the right direction. Allahpundit isn't too thrilled with the situation. He agrees Hayden's a good man but he's not sure it's worth the fight. Dafydd ab Hugh, on the other hand, sees things pretty much like I do. Comments Considering Hayden is one of the top experts in intelligence in the country, it shouldn't be a surprise that he would be nominated for the position. Maybe they would feel better if he left the uniform and home and just wore a regular suit?! Posted by: Anna | May 8, 2006 10:46:18 PM Post a comment |
