Apparently this is supposed to be the "smear our troops" flap of the hour. I just watched the video in question and it's funny as hell; I hope the guy gets a record contract out of it. Comments Bill, I watched the video at Hot Air. I really didn't think it was very funny. I can understand the reactions from the troops in country enjoying it, but all the rah rah from our side of the blogosphere leaves me a little cold. I believe he has the right to do it and broadcast it, however, it's not funny to someone not involved in combat and I don't think the lyrics are all that clever either. I understand the desire to support someone over there protecting us, but the "Wow! Great song dude!" and "Get this guy a record contract!" comments on Allah's post at HA seem forced to me. He doesn't sing very well, the music isn't melodious and the lyrics are amateurish. I don't think he has a future as a rock star, he's much more important to me as a guarantor of our liberty.
