Sticky:: Just Stupid Ol' Jorge
-- America's First Mexican President »

2006.12.31

Sticky:: It's still Sept. 12, and it will be for quite a while.

It's September 12th. For some of us, it will be for a long time to come. For others, it was September 10th again before the WTC even quit smoking. If you're back in that September 10th world, here are some links I hope you'll click to refresh your memory.

Read how Lila remembers that day.

Read how Greyhawk remembers it.

Read about young Sara's grasp of the situation.

Did you see the poster Michele and Lisa put together? Look at it again.

Maybe Charles Johnson's slideshow will refresh your memory.

Or how about a short movie?

Didn't enjoy that one? How about this one?

Added 2005-09-14: Don't miss Beldar's excellent essay here.

September 12 was a day when this chap said, "who the **** did that?"

I will never forget 9/11/2001. I will never forget half our elected representatives standing on the steps of the Capitol singing, badly, God Bless America nor how quickly the mood of that evening evaporated into politics as usual. I will never forget President Bush standing amid the rubble in lower Manhattan shouting through a bullhorn, "I hear you, the American people hear you, and the people who did this will hear from all of us soon." I will never forget the handwringers whining about how we should have talks to discover what we must have done to cause this. If you say a woman was raped because she was too scantily clad you are correctly and roundly criticized. Yet the same people want to blame the victims for 9/11 a la Ward Churchill. I will never forget the men and women dying every day to keep this nation free. I will never forget those who do their best to undermine those men and women and this country. I will never forget. I have a long, long memory.

Dear Bill, My God. I have read the article. I remember. I have saved pictures, because "they" have decided I was too fragile to look at them, so they would no longer see them. I am too fragile to see the beheadings. It would make me biased against them. I have one question: Why the hell am I not too frangile to see terrorists with female underwear on their heads??? Why must I know about mysterious Ko'rans that can shrink themselves so as to be flushed down a toilet? Yes. I remember. There never was a Septemember 10, 2001 as far as I'm concerned. As soon as the others "get it", we'll be a lot better off. Sorry for cussing. I relive that day everyday. Later.
