Sticky:: So what's with the bogus dates ...

... and why is the same stuff always at the top?

In the tradition of my old blog, I've decided that no matter what my mood this blog should always open on a happy note. Any time you come here, the first 3 or 4 posts will be positive things with semi-permanent homes at the top of the blog. If you're a regular visitor who's seen them before, please scroll  down till you see a date header that makes sense. Warning: Here be monsters. More on that later.

Update: I'm going to prepend the word "Sticky" to the titles of any posts with bogus dates. That should make it easier for those of you who come by on a regular basis to scroll past them to the newer things.

Hello Bill, I like your sense of optimism. It's just what I need to pick me up! I read all the news before I post what I believe to be important. I like to speak for those without a voice, like Darfur, China, Cambodia, Burma, Iran, S. America, etc., and you are my best medicine! My dad never had to "DO" anything to be my hero. As long as I knew he loved me, the world was okay, and he was my hero. I don't understand the need for children today needing a hero, except for the feminazi's movement to get rid of men! I want to warmly thank you for your service, no matter why you served. I would also like to, with wide open arms, welcome you home. Thank you.

Don't forget Bin Laden! Bush promised us to get him. And he didn't Where is Bin Laden? 3 years and he is still at large.

Maybe you should take time to educate yourself before you start trying to "enlighten" others. "LOOK WHO SEEMS TO BE MISSING AND UNACCOUNTED FOR" would be a good place to start.

MMM not to mention i think the it's still SEPTEMBER 12th also sufficiently demonstrates Bin Laden has not been forgotten.....And Sheme on us if we ever did.

50 million people have been liberated from a monster in Bagdad and a bunch of evil creeps in Kabul. Gee, this guy Bush is not doing anything. *bitch* *bitch* *bitch away all your life long*

I am glad I came across this website. There are several of us who get together each Thursday to pray for our troops, our leaders, and even the salvation of our enemies. (That last one is sometimes hard to do but the Bible tells us to do this)We are so blessed to live in a country of wealth and freedom. I don't know how anyone can look over our history and not see this. Unfortunately we are turning our back on God more and more. I do appreciate what our soldiers are willing to sacrifice for me and my family. I wish I could thank each and every one of them in person. I wish I could share with each of them that if they need someone to talk to the Lord is there. He is ready to wrap them in his arms and listen to them and love them!

Hey, Sam Miller, do you think if we captured or killed Bin Laden, the rest of the terrorists would just pack up, go home and become peaceful farmers? He's not the only guy in the world who needs a lead injection.

Oh goody! A new read, and from someone my age who actually understands html! Arrgghh! Oh well, I'm learning. As I explained to a reader, I'm on my way to 2nd grade in html!

I am 15 years old, and I wrote this poem on the Iraqi elections.

"Purple Ink" A finger once was running deep in blood;
The scarlet fluid cov'ring all the hand;
The nails and hair were digging in the mud;
To mourn her murdered sons beneath the sand.
But evil men of Hell had run away;
Those fiends who killed her fam'ly long ago;
The bloody finger's shackle broke today;
And liberty brought down the wall of woe.
Triumphant flags now dominate the scene;
And joyous children line the streets and smile;
The bloodied fingers purified and clean;
Jubilation reigning all the while.
A finger once was running deep in blood;
But scarlet fluid covered it no more;
The nails no longer digging in the mud;
And purple ink replaced the flowing gore.

Once muted tounges, revived, began to praise;
And silenced lips awoke to glorious days.

Hey Bill! This is rather out of left field, but I'm a new Blogger user who was missing MT's Extended Entry feature. I did some googling for a possible workaround and found your old blog at the top of the list (and the only relevant hit, as far as I can see). Your clever hack worked like a charm! Just wanted to thank you for the info. Best, ~James

Thank you so much, Bill, for sending that bit of history to Blackfive. I'm still laughing. lol. What to do about France...maybe we could trade it for some English Muffins? lol. I do not know. I am always angry at them anyway, so does it really matter? lol. It is nice to see your site again. I simply must add you to my sidebar. Have a great day.

Bill, great way to do business. I, too, try to make everything I say end in a somewhat positive note. There's enough negativism in the media and the rest of our lives. Your family is beautiful too by the way.
