Sticky:: Just Stupid Ol' Jorge
-- America's First Mexican President

Yeah, It used to say "Just Dumb 'ol George" and have a couple of pro-Bush pictures.  Dumb ass doesn't know the difference between a "guest" and an illegal intruder.

I guess I need to clarify something

As long as there's an iota of a chance that the Democrats might be stupid enough to nominate John Kerry for President again, the anti-Kerry links will stay right where they are on my sidebar and I'll continue to remind my readers occasionally why they're there. Actually, at this point I don't hate John Kerry so much as pity him. The man isn't just stupid, telling us lies and expecting us to believe them, he's delusional, actually believing them himself. Dishonest or delusional, or both, he has no business trying to run a country. Now, the part I apparently need to clarify (as evidenced by some emails I've received and some comments that have been left on my blog recently): I'm not a real big fan of George W. Bush, either. He did the right thing by kicking the Taliban out of Afghanistan and Saddam out of Iraq, and I trust him not to invade Syria and/or Iran unless it's really necessary, but in some other areas he needs to change his ways big time before it's too late. What's the point, for instance, in chasing the jihadis out of Iraq and Afghanistan if he's going to let them waltz across our borders unimpeded? Why did Congress have to make the first move on increasing benefits for the survivors of our KIAs? Why can a 22 year old Arabian male board a commercial airliner with no more extra scrutiny than my 74 year old mother would receive? Why ... ? ... If and when I get my health under control so I can start blogging a little more than I've been able to recently, expect me to get very vocal about a number of things I think need to change. In the mean time, if you need to use my comments section to vent about W's faults, feel free, but if you're just doing it because you don't think I already know he's far from perfect, don't bother.

Their Veterans’ Day

Their Veterans’ Day

Some said let you apologize
But that wouldn’t do it in our eyes.
A man astride of each position
Could we believe your true contrition?
And on deaf ears your words would fall
To those whose names are on that Wall
The vindication they now accept
In settling up this long-held debt,
Is that for them we gave our best
And denied you, John, your lifelong quest.
We fought for them, fought for our own,
To make you reap what you had sown.
Listen carefully John to what we say,
November 2d was their Veterans’ Day.

Misunderestimated

IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN. Here at home, a great many people who fashion themselves his moral and intellectual superiors turn out once more--as he might put it--to have misunderestimated George W. Bush. And it has happened abroad, as well, where the president's opponents and enemies--which is to say America's opponents and enemies--must now be pulling their hair and gnashing their teeth with frustration and resentment. The exit polls said Kerry would win. The New Yorker had endorsed him. And still those idiot Americans reelected Bush!

How sweet it is to contemplate the misery of people who think like this. ...

[...]

Just go read it. I'm too busy gloating to pick out the best part.

IT'S VETERANS' DAY!

The People Have Spoken!!

Democracy's a bitch, non Jean? I guess we're just a little smarter than you thought. The phony "war hero" act didn't work, did it Johnny? You thought we'd forget who you really were, but we didn't, and we didn't let anyone else forget.  It's still not over, Johnny. When all of those reporters that tried to hand you the election realize how stupid you made them look, they're going to come after you like a pack of rabid hyenas. Then when they're done with you, thousands of Viet Nam vets who would have just left you alone are going to grind what's left of you into little bitty pieces. It's Veterans' Day, Johnny, and the fun is just starting. You can run, Johnny, but you can't hide.

To my daughter: I love you and I'm sorry you're having a bad day. At least the same man won the popular vote and the Electoral College this time.

To everyone else who voted for Kerry: Nyah, Nyah, Nyah, Nyah, Nyah!  You stupid shits!

And, by the way, that means Bill Clinton isn't in line for Kofi Anan's job any more, either. Pity, that.

Into every life some rain must fall: Once again, the people of the Democratic People's Republic of Illinois have proven they are too stupid to be worthy of self-rule. I will be moving back to Texas just as soon as I can find a way.

The Question

The Question

The question you must ask yourself
As you head off to your poll,
Is who you trust to lead us now
That survival is our goal.
We tread the path of Jihad’s wrath,
Where misstep could spell doom,
And future times of horrid climes,
In Holocaust’s gray gloom.

What then again I’ll ask of you,
Should be our true agendas,
Privilege and prosperity
Or ways to best defend us?
Affluence won’t concern us much,
Other problems will confound us,
When our cities lie in smoking ruins,
With destruction all around us.

What sort of man I ask you now
Do we really want to lead us?
A nuanced pol, who talks and talks,
While Jihadis grimly bleed us?
Or a fighter, who will walk the walk,
Take the battle to them there,
Force their hand and make them stand,
Destroy them in their lair?

This veteran says let’s fight them there;
Lure all those fanatic fools,
To where they face armed fighting men,
Not children in their schools.
I know how I shall vote this time,
I’ll vote to win this war;
Not to let John Kerry lose it,
As he did mine long before.

Just Dumb Ol' George -- Round 2

From The New York Times, of all places:

To Bush-bashers, it may be the most infuriating revelation yet from the military records of the two presidential candidates: the young George W. Bush probably had a higher I.Q. than did the young John Kerry.

[...]

Mr. Bush's score on the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test at age 22 again suggests that his I.Q was the mid-120's, putting Mr. Bush in about the 95th percentile of the population, according to Mr. Sailer. Mr. Kerry's I.Q. was about 120, in the 91st percentile, according to Mr. Sailer's extrapolation of his score at age 22 on the Navy Officer Qualification Test.

[...]

Go read the rest of it.

Just poor, dumb ol' George. Such a pity.

Ashley's Story

Joey calls it "[t]he best, most powerful political ad I have yet to see." I agree with him whole-heartedly.

President George W Bush has proven himself repeatedly to be a genuinely decent caring human being. The nicest thing I have yet to hear anyone say about John Kerry is "He's not George Bush." Damned right he's not, but that isn't a compliment. Can someone, anyone, think of something nice to say about the Democratic candidate? ... I'm waiting ...  Operators are standing by. The phones are not ringing.

Some thoughts on the VA and the vet vote

From a post on my daughters blog:

It almost made me sick to hear Bush talking about how great the healthcare provided through the VA is.  My Dad has to drive hours to get to the closest VA clinic, and wait more hours to see a doctor who doesn’t listen to him and won’t give him efficient or particularly helpful medical care. Who does Bush think he is telling me that that’s good enough?

I left this comment there:

The VA health care system could definitely be improved, but even if I believed Kerry would improve it, which I don't, I'm one veteran who thinks the War on Terror is much more important than my personal well being. The veteran vote is going to go overwhelmingly for President Bush next month, for that and a lot of other reasons.

I love you, Heather. You and that little boy of yours are the center of my world. Please, listen to your daddy on this one. What does it matter if I have to wait a little for help from the VA compared to a terrorist attack on a VA clinic, or on the call center where you work, or on a school full of American children? John Kerry thinks Islamic terrorists are a "nuisance". George Bush understands there's a war on. The war comes first. There might be a veteran or an American Warrior somewhere who disagrees with me, but there are damned few of them.

Wictory Wednesday 10-13-2004

It's Wictory Wednesday Again

Dozens of blogs across the country participate in Wictory Wednesday. Every Wednesday, these bloggers put up a post asking their readers to volunteer and/or donate to worthy Republican  campaigns. In their Wictory Wednesday posts, they also include the Wictory Wednesday blogroll, which lists all participating blogs.

President Bush has accepted the nomination for a second term. It's too late to donate to the official Bush/Cheney campaign, but there's still plenty of time to help get some good Republicans into the Senate.

New polls show that the race between Republican US Senate candidate Tom Coburn and Democrat Brad Carlson in Oklahoma is a tossup.

Coburn is the more talented candidate, but Carson is benefiting from a systematic campaign by Oklahoma media to boost his candidacy. Coburn needs our help to tip the scales. A few dollars can go a long way towards buying advertising that highlights Coburn’s conservatism and Carson’s liberalism. You can easily contribute to Coburn’s campaign online.
